What is Bar Chart?

Each bar on the chart is representing its category's value or frequency, having its length proportional to its value. Thus, column chart is commonly used to compare values between different categories, comparing the difference of the bar's length. As the length of the bar is proportional to the values, while the width of the bar is fixed between different bars, the ratio between is equivalent to the ratio between length and area.
