What is AARRR Framework (Pirate Funnel)?
The AARRR framework (also known as Pirate Funnel, or AAAR Model) allows you to get a deeper understanding of your customers and track their progress through the purchase process that is made up of 5 funnel layers you will track during your customer journey: Acquisition, Activation, Retention, Referral, and Revenue (AARRR). Each if the five layers of the AARRR funnel can be measured individually, providing several touchpoints for optimization and optimal scalability:
Acquisition: How do users discover (and come to) your product?
Activation: How is the user's first experience?
Retention: Will the user return to the product (reuse)?
Revenue: How does the product make money (through users)?
Refer: Are users willing to tell other users?
