HbA1c Calculator
This is an HbA1c calculator you can use to perform conversions between glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) and mean plasma glucose. You will also learn what is A1c and what are its normal ranges. Besides, you will also learn how to convert between HbA1c and mean plasma glucose by following the formula.
What is A1c?
The Hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) test tells you your average level of blood sugar over the past 2 to 3 months. People who have diabetes need this test to see if their levels are staying within range, and to determine if she needs to adjust her diabetes medicines.
HbA1c formula
Conversion between HbA1c and mean plasma glucose is by the following formula:
HbA1c = (MPG + 46.7) / 28.7 = (MPGM + 2.59) / 1.59
- HbA1c = glycosylated hemoglobin
- MPG = mean plasma glucose
- MPG = mean plasma glucose (molarity)
