Starry night (Dutch: de sterrennacht) is a famous oil painting created by the Dutch post impressionist painter Vincent Van Gogh in 1890 in a mental hospital in Saint Remi, France. It is one of the artists' representative works and is now in the Museum of modern art in New York.
