What is Ansoff Matrix?
The Ansoff matrix is a strategic planning tool that provides a framework to illustrate how executives, senior managers, and marketers design strategies for future growth. It is named after the Russian-American Igor Ansoff, an applied mathematician and business manager, as well as the creator of this concept.
The Structure of Ansoff Matrix
The Ansoff matrix divides the "market" and "product" into "existing" and "new" two parts and combines them into a 2x2 matrix to help us establish the relationship between the product and the market, so that we can clearly understand the strategy to be adopted for each of the four types.
