Time Changes Things
When we face different difficulties or get hurt, we will tell us that : time changes things. Is it correct? Yes. The time here usually means the factor changed along time:
- New technologies evolve
- Relationships change
- Living condition change
- etc.
When things around us change, we may also be affected and then change ourselves..
However, does it mean that we are also changed?
As mentioned earlier, even if they are changing, it doesn't mean that we are blind to the fact that they must be affected by them. If we end up changing, it means that it is by our own choice to be changed.
We will only be changed by time if we choose to actively change our thoughts, or choose to be changed by others. Everything is based on our own choices, not some passive action.
This quote also want to tell us that: only you can help yourself.
When things happen, it is actually meaningless if we just passively wait for time, i.e., when other incentives come to actively change us. Because only we can choose whether to be changed or not, and only we can help ourselves to be changed.
After understanding that making changes is a better choice for us, we should actively try to accept the changes around us, and then change ourselves from there.
However, in case we do not want to be affected, such as the target we have, even many things are changed, we can still choose to keep our mind reject to be changed.
Choose to change or not by yourself instead of time.
