Fried Onion Rings Recipe

Ingredients
3 large Spanish onions or sweet onions
1/2 cup flour
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 egg, well beaten
1/2 cup milk
Canola cooking oil for deep frying
Directions
Wash the onions, peel them, and cut into 1/4 inch thick rounds.
Divide the circle into rings.
In a bowl, mix the flour, seasonings, and baking powder.
In a measuring cup, whisk the eggs and milk together.
Add the milk mixture to the dry ingredients and mix well.
Dip the onion rings into the batter and then drip into the deep fat at about 365°.
Fry until golden brown and brown on both sides.
Transfer to a paper towel or brown paper bag to drain thoroughly.
Sprinkle a little salt before serving.
