ForestSAT.space's report utilised a decade of satellite data from eight Earth Observation satellites to analyse the grasslands, farmlands, hills, and wildlands in Limassol, revealing that increasing risk factors signal a significant fire threat ahead of the summer of 2025. By implementing wildfire risk mapping and fire prediction models, we can proactively mitigate risks. Notably, nearly all areas burned in the 2025 fires were classified as "high risk" throughout the analysis period.
