A simple goal of Baldridge is to include a structure to define the organization, regardless of its scale or form (commercial, non-profit, college, government, and healthcare), with an emphasis on recognizing organizational management and execution. This is the most critical element. It is based on a rigorous performance improvement system that involves the entire enterprise in enhancing overall performance and aiming for excellence.
The Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award
The Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award is the highest degree of national recognition for the consistency of service that a U.S. company will earn. Baldrige was founded in 1987 with the aim of assisting organizations in innovating and developing while fulfilling their mission and vision. Manufacturing, service, small business, nonprofit, community, education, and healthcare are currently eligible for the award.
