Successful people share their reading habits
Bill Gates, the former CEO of Microsoft, reads 50 books a year, or about one in a week. This is an indisputable fact. Most of his reading is non fiction, covering topics such as public health, disease, engineering, business and science. Occasionally he would read novels, and sometimes he would even stay up late to read them. But what he is most interested in is the world he lives in.
Warren Buffett, Berkshire's investment giant, is said to spend five to six hours a day reading five different newspapers. He will also browse 500 pages of financial documents and advise investors to do the same.
"That's what knowledge is, and it builds up like compound interest,"
Buffett said recently in an investment class at Columbia University. You can all do it, but I'm sure a lot of people won't do it. "
