Description
Sir Charles Spencer Chaplin Jr. KBE (16 April 1889 – 25 December 1977) was an English comic actor, filmmaker, and composer who rose to fame in the era of silent film. He became a worldwide icon through his screen persona, the Tramp, and is considered one of the film industry's most important figures. His career spanned more than 75 years, from childhood in the Victorian era until a year before his death in 1977, and encompassed both adulation and controversy.

Chaplin's childhood in London was one of poverty and hardship. His father was absent and his mother struggled financially - he was sent to a workhouse twice before age nine. When he was 14, his mother was committed to a mental asylum. Chaplin began performing at an early age, touring music halls and later working as a stage actor and comedian. At 19, he was signed to the Fred Karno company, which took him to the United States. He was scouted for the film industry and began appearing in 1914 for Keystone Studios. He soon developed the Tramp persona and attracted a large fan base. He directed his own films and continued to hone his craft as he moved to the Essanay, Mutual, and First National corporations. By 1918, he was one of the world's best-known figures.

"You’ll never find a rainbow if you’re looking down."

Never forget that we have to look high if we want to see a rainbow. Sometimes success requires optimism. Remember, if you turn your face to the sun, shadows will fall behind you. The energy goes where the attention is, so always look up and focus on the positive.

We may have an idea and we are thinking the right way. Charlie Chaplin once quoted that if you look down you will never find a rainbow. Let's see what that means.

We need to look up to the sky to see the rainbow, not look down because there is no rainbow to be found. Life can be scary for anyone. Sometimes it may rain, sometimes there may be sunshine. Happiness and sadness are common in real life. It's a beautiful thing in life for everyone.

We must look at our lives pessimistically. There are far more people living in poor conditions than us. God may have given us many good opportunities to come up. We shouldn't feel sorry for anything or anyone. We must maintain our attitude and keep our eyes open. Then only rainbows are found.

Sometimes, no matter where we go, bad luck is chasing us. We shouldn't be frustrated. We have to weather the storm and only we can see the rainbow in life. Just like passing things, it will inevitably happen here and now. We must stand firm through this difficult time. If we get stuck, there will be no progress. Our willpower will only help us through the ocean of life.

We should not belittle ourselves for any reason. People around us may say whatever they think. We should know ourselves correctly. Small flaws and bugs can throw us off. We should not give up our efforts. We should predict any worst-case scenario. We should keep alternative plans in mind to be successful. Then only rainbows will flash in our lives.
