The Christmas rush is about to subside, but many consumers have yet to sate their appetite and are ready to flex their muscles at the last minute. Shoppers are likely to spend more in the last minute of Christmas, as more shoppers make last-minute purchases, according to a report.

Many consumers say they procrastinate. About a third of consumers make a purchase within the "last 11 hours." These procrastinators leave all their Christmas shopping plans in the backlog by the end of the holiday season.
