The 15 Traits of Emotional Intelligence Infographic
We often wonder, what is emotional intelligence?
Daniel Goleman, professor of psychology at Harvard University, points out that "EQ consists of five aspects, namely
the ability to recognize one's own emotions,
the ability to manage one's own emotions,
the ability to withstand setbacks,
the ability to understand others' emotions, and
the ability to manage interpersonal relationships."
The level of emotional intelligence can be seen from people's daily performance by identifying some of the typical signs that their emotional intelligence is low: -
If someone disagrees with a word you say, you lose your temper -- and if you lose a game, you don't like to eat. Or when a little thing doesn't go well, you get emotional.
Just focus on how you feel - if there's something delicious, he'll eat someone else's share. If he asks someone to do something, he expects you to put down what you are doing and do it first. When someone asks him to do something, he will ignore it.
Complaining and criticizing others - he likes to complain about little things, likes to interrupt, often blames others, and always puts the blame on others when he encounters problems.
Can't withstand criticism and frustration - Once criticized, they can't control their emotions and flinch when they encounter some difficulties.
