Many people don't know what climate change means, either because of misinformation based on unreliable sources , which has led to a series of myths about climate change. We always need to clarify the two terms: global warming and climate change:

As the earth's temperature rises above its natural temperature, the climate will also change, thus, global warming is causing climate change and they are not two interchangeable terms.

What is Global Warming?

The greenhouse effect causes global warming, a natural phenomenon by which the atmosphere absorbs some of the heat of the Sun, allowing the Planet to sustain the conditions required to host life. The planet's surface temperature will be -18C without the greenhouse effect. But the concern is that the greenhouse effect is maximized by everyday

human activities, causing the temperature of the earth to rise ever higher.

How Human Activities Causes Climate Change?

Human activities induce climate change by emitting carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases into the environment. The amount of carbon dioxide increased by 40 percent during the 20th and 21st centuries. There is more and more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere now than it has ever been in the last 800,000 years at least.

Deforestation - Trees can help to extract carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and store it.

Fossil fuels - We release carbon dioxide into the air when consume fossil fuels.

cement manufacturing - Another contributor to climate change is cement manufacturing, which accounts for 2 percent of our overall carbon dioxide emissions.

Farming - Various kinds of greenhouse gases are emitted into the air by farming and rearing livestock activities.
