This license for Visual Paradigm Online is designed to guarantee freedom to use Visual Paradigm Online for academic purposes. Visual Paradigm grants the recipient a non-transferable license to use Visual Paradigm Online furnished hereunder, upon the terms and conditions set out below.
Terms and Conditions This license applies to you, the recipient, only if you are a member of a non-commercial and academic institution, e.g., a university. The license expires as soon as you are no longer a member of this institution.
This is a legal agreement between you, the recipient, and Visual Paradigm. By accepting, receiving, and using Visual Paradigm Online, you are agreeing to be bound by the terms of this Agreement. If you do not agree to the terms of this Agreement, promptly stop using the academic license.
The recipient agrees to use Visual Paradigm Online solely for non-commercial classroom teaching and shall not distribute or transfer it to another location or to any other person without prior written permission from Visual Paradigm.
The academic license starts effective from the date a subscription is approved by Visual Paradigm. The licensing period last for one year. Visual Paradigm is under no obligation to extend any academic license to longer period of time.
Title and copyright to Visual Paradigm Online and any associated documentation shall at all times remain with Visual Paradigm, and the recipient agrees to preserve the same..
You may use Visual Paradigm Online only on computers that are part of the Academic Institution's internal network domain.
Except as otherwise provided herein, you may use Visual Paradigm Online only on computers that are located at the Academic Institution's permanent facilities.
You may use Visual Paradigm Online on portable computers used by Academic Institution staff when traveling on Academic Institution business.
You may use Visual Paradigm Online on desktop and portable computers at home for teaching, learning, research, and non-commercial activities.
You may not provide the Software license for use by anyone after their relationship with the Academic Institution ends.
You may not provide the Software license for use by anyone except professors, teachers, instructors, students, administrators and other personnel employed by, enrolled in, or volunteering at the licensed Academic Institution department.
Every publication and presentation for which work based on Visual Paradigm Online or its output has been used must contain an appropriate citation and acknowledgement of Visual Paradigm.
You may not copy, modify, sublicense, or distribute the license of Visual Paradigm Online to any third party. Any attempt to copy, modify, sublicense, or distribute the license to third party will automatically terminate your rights under this License.
You are not required to accept this License, since you have not signed it. However, nothing else grants you permission to use Visual Paradigm Online , modify, or distribute the Software or its derivative works. Law prohibits these actions if you do not accept this License. Therefore, by using, modifying or distributing any work based on Visual Paradigm Online, you indicate your acceptance of this License and all its terms and conditions for copying, distributing or modifying the Program or works based on it.
