What is Flowchart?

A flow chart is a graphical representation of a process, algorithm or workflow. Steps and associated resources (e.g. document) are represented by a different symbol. These flow chart symbols are connected together with directed arrows in showing the flow. Flowcharts are often drawn to communicate and clarify business workflow.

Why Flowchart?

  • Flowchart consists of only simple and standard symbols such as, the simple rectangles, ovals, diamonds and other shapes which is easy to understand and only need to take very little time to learn
  • Flowchart symbols are universally recognized across multiple disciplines, and will allow us to communicate a great deal of information accurately, efficiently, and succinctly.
  • Flowchart shows every step of a process in clear and explicit detail. The top-down and left-to-right flow of steps on the chart have a natural order and are easy to follow.
