What is Scatter Chart?

A scatter chart is often used when the correlation and causation between two variables are unknown. Scatter chart allows users plotting makers freely on the chart, whether there is one or none independent variable. A line of best fit will normally be drawn if there exist an obvious correlations, if not, the Pearson product -moment correlation coefficient can be calculated to determine if there is a correlation or not.
