Time is money. – Benjamin Franklin

Benjamin Franklin was an American polymath who was active as a writer, scientist, inventor, statesman, diplomat, printer, publisher, and political philosopher. Among the leading intellectuals of his time, Franklin was one of the Founding Fathers of the United States, a drafter and signer of the United States Declaration of Independence, and the first United States Postmaster General.

As a scientist, he was a major figure in the American Enlightenment and the history of physics for his studies of electricity, and for charting and naming the current still known as the Gulf Stream. As an inventor, he is known for the lightning rod, bifocals, and the Franklin stove, among others.

"Time is money."

Time Is Money is an aphorism that is claimed to have originated[by whom?] in "Advice to a Young Tradesman", an essay by Benjamin Franklin that appeared in George Fisher’s 1748 book, The American Instructor: or Young Man’s Best Companion, in which Franklin wrote, "Remember that time is money."

"Remember that time is money. He that can earn ten shillings a day by his labor, and goes abroad, or sits idle one half of that day, though he spends but sixpence during his diversion or idleness, it ought not to be reckoned the only expense; he hath really spent or thrown away five shillings besides."

The saying is intended to convey the monetary cost of laziness, by pointing out that when one is paid for the amount of time one spends working, minimizing non-working time also minimizes the amount of money that is lost to other pursuits.

Importance of time

Although time is different for everyone, it still matters. Once we grow up, our childhood never comes back. Likewise, a student always strives for good grades throughout the year.

Likewise, people use their precious time for different purposes and do their best to fulfill their wishes. Because we know that time waits for no one. We can all live our lives once.

So how we're going to use it is up to us. We can spend it by getting a lot of achievements, or we can ruin it by wasting the precious time given to us. Smart people strive to make the most of their time, but live every moment to the fullest. So we all have to work for the same thing.

More Valuable Than Money

It is now clear that time is more valuable than money. Millions of people believe this, and it's still true. Because once you lose time, you can never get it back, not even a second.

Time can be used to make money, but money cannot be used to make more time. So all the money in the world doesn't matter if you don't have enough time. Do you know the difference between winners and losers?

We have 24 hours a day, no matter where we come from or how much money we have. It's not that all 24 hours are used up; that's how we use them. A successful person will always use their time effectively to make progress in life.

Time is something we get and we have the right to use it like money. But, the difference is that when we lose money, we can always get it back in one way or another. However, when we lose time, we can never get it back with any money.

Patients in need of medical care understand the value of time and that it is more valuable than money. Likewise, an entrepreneur would take the fastest way to travel for business transactions to save time and stamps and deals. This shows that in life, time is indeed more important than money.
