What is wireframe?

As you can see in the figure here, a wireframe is a low-fidelity outline of a website. They are created with simple blocks and strokes - use lines to represent text, and 'X' squares indicating placeholders for images and panels. The simple look makes wireframes an ideal tool to use at the beginning of a project, giving you time to cement your content architecture before implementing it.
