What is wireframe?

A wireframe is a low-fidelity mockup that presents the information that will be displayed on the page. It also gives an outline of structure and layout of the page and conveys the overall direction and description of the user interface. Wireframe has to be simple. It uses simple boxes and lines to represent elements on a web page. The simple look is forgiving of mistakes and allows you to experiment, which takes some of the hassle out of designing the overall structure.
