Ever since I was a child, I have seen a lot of programs introducing African animals on TV and have been yearning for them. In the traditional image of most Chinese, Africa is a barren and poor continent.
Yet South Africa may turn out to be quite different. Known as the "Rainbow Nation", South Africa is one of the most diverse countries in the world. It has a variety of ethnic cultures, with 11 official languages alone. It is also the second largest economy in Africa and has a high standard of living. In addition to its rich human resources, South Africa has too many spectacular landscapes and one of the best safari destinations on the continent to see Africa's endemic wildlife up close.

At the Thanda Safari camp in Durban, South Africa, visitors can see lions and endangered white rhinoceros for a limited time. Herds of giraffes, zebras, gazelles, buffalo and wildebeests are beyond sight. On a fully open off-road vehicle, the closest distance from the fierce male lion is less than two meters away, and the passengers are so excited to see the wild animals up close!
