Infographic About How to Create Effective Schedules

When you face endless meetings, frequent interruptions, and urgent last-minute tasks, it's easy to lose focus instead of completing the tasks we need to complete.

Plan an effective schedule for your daily tasks and activities, which you can stick to, will help you form good habits and break bad habits, and live a more productive and happier life.

A plan is what, a schedule is when. It takes both a plan and a schedule to get things done.” – Peter Turla, Nasa Rocket Designer

Here are the steps to plan a effective schedule:

  1. Think of the goal and objectives you want to meet for a certain period of time (say 2 - 4 weeks)

  2. Make a list of tasks

  3. classify them as repetitive tasks or ad-hoc (or one-off) tasks

  4. Prioritize them into a kind of to-do list

  5. structure your day into trunks and breaks

  6. block some space for the urgent tasks.

  7. Assign the important regular and repetitive tasks (high priority first). Do not fully pack time-slots with tasks, you need some space for ad-hoc and urgent tasks

  8. Review it in the morning and at of the end of each working day. (Update information and urgent task as necessary).

A good schedule keep you motivated and ensure that you get the basics done, and help us achieve your goals. Personal schedules also help leave some room for your family and private life.
