Guava Buttercream Cupcakes Recipe

Ingredients
Cupcake
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup butter
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 3/4 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cup milk
1.2 cup cream cheese
Buttercream
1/4 cup and 2 teaspoons shortening
1/4 cup and 2 teaspoons butter, softened
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2-1/3 cups and 1 tablespoon confectioners' sugar
1 tablespoon and 1/2 teaspoon milk
pinch of salt
guava marmalade 1/3 cup
Directions
Cupcake
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius). Grease and flour a 9x9-inch pan, or line a muffin pan with paper liners.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the sugar and butter. Beat the eggs, one at a time, then add the vanilla. Mix the flour and baking powder, add to the cream mixture and mix well, then add the cream cheese. Finally, add milk and stir until the batter is smooth. Pour or spoon the batter into the prepared pan.
Bake in a preheated oven for 30 to 40 minutes. For cupcakes, bake for 20 to 25 minutes. When the cake bounces back to the touch, the cake is complete.
Buttercream
In a large bowl, combine the butter, shortening, and vanilla. Add sugar, one cup at a time, and stir well after each addition. Add milk and continue to stir until fluffy. Stir the guava individually until smooth, then add it to the cream bit by bit. Put it in the refrigerator and put it in a piping bag after cooling. Shake well.
