What is Area Chart?

An area chart can present the changes and the sums of attributes in a specific time span, which is similar to a line chart. Data points are connected by line segments, and the area between the line and the x-axis will then be coloured, having the segments describing the change of the attributes by time and the area counting the sum of the attributes over time.
